Who can see what

A line is visible to exactly the people on the page it is on. That is the whole rule.

What does not grant access

None of these let anybody see a line they could not otherwise see:

• Being somebody’s manager
• Being an administrator of the page
• Being the person who set up the organisation
• Being mentioned somewhere

There is no per-line permission, and there is not going to be. A permission that could express “Dana and Marco but not Priya” would describe something that is not a page — and the moment visibility has two answers, every surface has to ask both.

Why this is stronger than a promise

Most of it is not a check that could be forgotten. Your own page and everything private to you are stored under a key that is you — asking for somebody else’s is not a request the system can express, rather than one it refuses. The test suite fails the build if that changes.

The things only you see

• Your own page, and every draft on it
• Smoke’s read of any page — everybody on a page has their own, and nobody sees anybody else’s
• Your How I Work Best, until you publish it
• Anything Smoke read from your mail or calendar
