The order of your lines

Order is meaning

The order of a page is the closest thing Smoke has to priority. There is no priority field and there is not going to be one — a number from 1 to 5 beside every line is a second ranking that immediately disagrees with the first.

So the order is yours, and Smoke never re-sorts a page. Not by date, not by status, not by what it thinks is urgent. It can argue with your ordering in a note, which is a thing it is allowed to do; it cannot act on the argument.

What does move

Done lines collapse to the foot of the page. That is presentation rather than sorting — the live work is what you want to see, and a page reads oddly with holes in it.
